This month sees the launch of the first ever World Food Focus, World Food Focus

Running from April 31st to the end of May, World Foods Focus, 2012, is a unique new grocery promotion which focuses on authentic & mainstream ‘world foods’ from the UK’s 10 most popular country cuisines and covers the key grocery marketing areas of Experiential Sampling, Media/Promotions and Trade Support. Comprising both ambient and chilled, the world foods market is worth around ?1.5 billion at retail, growing at around +12% pa (Kantar Worldpanel YoY 09/11), with the major mults accounting for 78%. Tesco is by far the biggest World Foods retailer on 23.6%, growing at +8.5% YoY.
